Quorum vs Qase

Looking for a Qase alternative?
Start by keeping Qase.

Quorum Designer writes the test cases of a Jira story with AI, asks about the rules the story leaves open, and sends what your QA accepts into Qase. Quorum Reporter, coming soon, is test management at about a third of Qase Teams’ per-user list price.

One free trial per person. Card needed; cancel before day 7 and pay nothing. Works with the Qase you already have.

  • What it is

    Qase
A test management platform: test cases, runs, defects and reports, with AI features (Qase AI).
    Quorum
DesignerReporterComing soonDesigner designs the test cases of a Jira story with AI. Reporter keeps, runs and reports on them.
  • Pricing model

    Qase
Per user. Free plan up to 4 users; the Teams plan is for 5 users or more; Enterprise is priced on request.
    Quorum
Per person: Designer per person who designs cases, Reporter per tester. Never per user of your Jira site.
  • List price

    Qase
Teams: $35 per user a month billed yearly, $42 billed monthly. Collaborator (view and comment) seats $10 a month.
    Quorum
    Designer Pro $39 a month or $390 a year (Power $79). Reporter $12 per tester a month or $120 a year.
  • Free plan and trial

    Qase
Free forever up to 4 users, 2 projects and 30 days of test history. A 14-day trial of Teams with no credit card.
    Quorum
No free plan. A 7-day free trial, card needed, one per person.
  • Jira integration

    Qase
“Qase for Jira”, a Forge app on the Atlassian Marketplace: links cases, runs and defects to Jira issues and shows them in panels on the issue. A separate plugin for Jira Server and Data Center. Integrations are not included on the Free plan.
    Quorum
A separate web app connected to Jira Cloud with an API token: nothing to install in Jira. Jira Server and Data Center are not supported.
  • AI test case generation

    Qase
Qase AI’s AI Test Designer generates manual test cases from a Jira, GitHub, Notion or Confluence issue; you review, discard and save. 2,000 AI credits a month on Teams, none on Free.
    Quorum
DesignerDesigner reads the story, its epic and linked tickets, drafts the suite and turns each rule the story leaves open into a question instead of a guess. Every case and every change is a proposal your QA accepts.
  • Bugs from failed tests

    Qase
From a defect raised in a run, create a new Jira issue or link an existing one.
    Quorum
ReporterComing soonFrom a failed result, AI drafts the Jira bug (steps, expected and actual result, environment). Nothing is created until a person accepts it.
  • Import from other tools

    Qase
Imports from TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, TestLink, qTest and more, plus Qase’s own XML, JSON and CSV.
    Quorum
No automatic import yet. Designer sends new cases to your current tool, so you can start without moving anything.
  • Hosting

    Qase
Cloud, on AWS. A dedicated cluster is an Enterprise add-on.
    Quorum
    Cloud only, for Jira Cloud.

What Quorum adds

AI-assisted.
Never autonomous.

In our view, a test case is only as good as the rule it checks, and generating first leaves the cleanup to you. That is why the AI asks, proposes and drafts, and a person decides.

  • AI that asks instead of guessing

When a story leaves a rule open, Designer asks, with concrete options: blocking when the answer changes what a case expects, an assumption stated out loud when it does not. Cases that rest on an open question are flagged.

    Designer
  • Proposals your QA reviews

Every new case and every change arrives as a proposal, a diff your QA accepts, edits or rejects. Nothing reaches Jira or your test tool until a person accepts it.

    Designer
  • Bug drafts, not bug spam

From a failed result, Reporter’s AI drafts the Jira bug from the case, the failed step, your note and the story. A person edits and accepts it; only then is it created and linked.

Which to choose

Pick the tool
that fits your team.

Qase is the better choice for some teams, and we would rather say so here than lose your trust later. Or use both: Designer works with Qase.

Choose Qase if

  • A free plan covers you: up to 4 users, 2 projects, 30 days of history.
  • You need to import existing cases from TestRail, Zephyr, Xray or another tool today.
  • You run Jira Server or Data Center.
  • You want AI that turns manual cases into Playwright, Cypress or Selenium scripts (Qase’s AI QA Architect).

Choose Quorum if

  • Your stories leave rules open, and you want the AI to ask about them instead of inventing an answer.
  • You want to keep Qase and add AI test design in front of it: Designer sends to Qase.
  • You want test management at $12 per tester a month (Reporter) rather than Qase Teams’ $35.
  • You want every AI change as a proposal your QA accepts, case by case.

  • US dollars, before taxes. List prices as of October 2026; they can change, so check their site. Source: qase.io/pricing (opens in a new tab).
  • A price comparison, not a feature one: other tools do things Reporter’s first version does not, such as importing cases or CI results, custom fields and shared steps.

Moving from Qase

No import wizard yet.
Nothing to move today.

Quorum cannot import your Qase cases automatically today, and we will not pretend it can. This is how teams start without moving anything.

  1. 01

    Keep Qase, add Designer

Nothing moves. Point a Jira project at Qase and Designer creates the accepted cases there, attached to their story.

  2. 02

    Switch at the next release

When Reporter launches, new cases go into a Reporter folder. Recreate only the regression cases you still run.

  3. 03

    Keep the history

Leave Qase read-only for its old runs until you no longer need them. We can plan the move with you, folder by folder.

FAQ

Questions about Quorum and Qase.

Is Quorum a Qase alternative?
In part, today. Quorum Designer is AI test design, not test management: it writes the cases of a Jira story and sends them to Qase. Quorum Reporter is the test management part, at $12 per tester a month. Reporter is coming soon: it is not on sale yet.
How does Quorum’s price compare to Qase?
At list prices as of October 2026, Qase Teams is $35 per user a month billed yearly ($42 monthly) for 5 users or more, and Qase has a free plan up to 4 users. Quorum Reporter is $12 per tester a month ($120 a year), and Designer is $39 a month per person. The calculator on this page does the math for your team.
Does Qase have AI test case generation?
Yes. Qase’s pages describe Qase AI (formerly AIDEN) and its AI Test Designer, which generates manual test cases from a Jira, GitHub, Notion or Confluence issue for you to review, discard or save. Its pricing page lists AI credits on the Teams and Enterprise plans, not on Free.
Does Quorum work with Qase?
Yes. Designer sends the cases your QA accepts straight into Qase, linked to their Jira story. You keep Qase for runs and reports and add AI test design in front of it, from $39 a month per person.
Can I import my Qase test cases into Quorum?
Not automatically yet. Start with your next release: Designer writes the new cases, you recreate the regression cases you still run, and Qase stays read-only for its history. For a hand-held move, write to support@usequorum.dev. Reporter is coming soon: it is not on sale yet.
Is Quorum an Atlassian Marketplace app?
No. Quorum is a separate web app that connects to Jira Cloud with an API token, so there is nothing to install in Jira and nothing billed per Jira user. Jira Server and Data Center are not supported.
Does the AI write to Jira on its own?
Never. Designer proposes cases and changes; your QA accepts each one before anything reaches Jira or Qase. In Reporter, a bug drafted by AI is created only after a person accepts it.
